The AIHSP promotes the success and well being of hosting and Internet-related industries. As a good-will organization, we support the interests of all providers and protect the business environments in which they operate. We strive to foster good relations among providers and believe collaboration among our constituents will yield stability, growth and prosperity for our industries and those who participate within them.
The hosting industry exists as a fragmented, misunderstood and often marginalized field. There is no framework in place that comprehensively supports providers in their quests to grow their companies and coexist with each other in a common marketplace. Furthermore, the hosting industry lacks a governing body and a unified voice, has no representation before policymakers and has no basic standard of ethics to which providers adhere. The industry has no formal system within which to interact with its consumers on an industry-wide level, no protocol for addressing grievances among buyers and no universal standards for interacting with media.
Hosting is an industry of constant change and growth, and one which holds enormous importance to governments, businesses and individuals around the world. Yet despite its importance, it is an industry rarely understood or even recognized by those outside it.
Today we step up and embark upon an important journey. We endeavor for a united industry with broad credibility and a strong voice.
We are the Association of Internet and Hosting Service Providers (AIHSP), and we intend to fill the voids within our industry. We will instill a spirit of cooperation and greater purpose in our members, and we will measurably impact and shape the marketplace we represent.
