AIHSP Industry Representation and Advocacy Subcommittee

The AIHSP Industry Representation and Advocacy Subcommittee will (1) collaborate to explore and determine key legislative objectives and priorities to ensure the sustained success and viability of the hosted services marketplace and fair competition within, (2) research the viability and feasibility of implementing a direct lobbying campaign to influence existing and pending legislation, (3) draft an initial series of communication goals and priorities for AIHSP as a representative body for business and (4) determine the scope, scale and objectives of an AIHSP media relations and crisis communications apparatus.

This exploratory volunteer panel will convene online on September 22, 2008, and will deliberate over a six week period. The panel will use this time to brainstorm the scope and nature of its charge and arrive at specific deliverable action items for AIHSP to consider in its formation. A Subcommittee Chair will be selected by the AIHSP Founding Committee, and that person will manage, conduct and lead all online and teleconference meetings. A representative of the AIHSP Founding Committee will be present during all discussion, serving in an advisory capacity role at the pleasure of the Subcommittee Chair.
