AIHSP Systems and Infrastructure Subcommittee

The AIHSP Systems and Infrastructure Subcommittee is hereby charged with: (1) developing a project scope for the following systems: technical certification tracking system, grievance process tracking, research repository database, crisis communication system, intelligent business directory, employment portal and fraud database, (2) determining most appropriate technologies for development of these systems, (3) determining the hosting architecture best suited to these systems, (4) researching developers/firms for possible in-kind work, (5) researching developers/firms for compensated work, (6) making recommendations regarding custom development versus off-the-shelf application use and (7) researching application security vendors for systems auditing.

The ideal panel member for the AIHSP Systems and Infrastructure Subcommittee will (1) have a background in enterprise-level systems analysis, (2) have skill sets that match technologies used to build complex IT and Web application systems and/or (3) have substantial experience working with or employing/contracting development professionals.

This exploratory volunteer panel will convene online on September 22, 2008, and will deliberate over a six week period. The panel will use this time to brainstorm the scope and nature of its charge and arrive at specific deliverable action items for AIHSP to consider in its formation. A Subcommittee Chair will be selected by the AIHSP Founding Committee, and that person will manage, conduct and lead all online and teleconference meetings. A representative of the AIHSP Founding Committee will be present during all discussion, serving in an advisory capacity role at the pleasure of the Subcommittee Chair.
